When and where is the conference?
WiDS is on March 13th from 8:30am – 5:30pm. Registration begins at 7:30am. The conference is at the UNC Charlotte Marriott at 9041 Robert D. Snyder Road, Charlotte NC, 28262.
What is the cost of the conference?
WiDS is a free event for everyone! Registration is open.
What is the dress code?
Please prepare to arrive in business or business casual attire.
Where can I park?
Parking is not included in your conference ticket, but valet parking is available from the Marriott for $15. There will be a parking kiosk inside where attendees can have their parking ticket scanned and reduced to $6. Additional parking is available at the Blue Lynx Station across from the Marriott. UNC Charlotte parking permits are valid at the CRI deck on Robert D. Snyder Road.
Is the conference being held in-person or virtually?
We are happy to be hosting this year’s conference entirely in-person! There will not be a live stream option.
What should I bring?
Plan to bring business cards for networking and a laptop & charger for workshop participation and product demos. If you plan to participate in the Career Fair, we suggest bringing several hard copies of your resume.
I am a sponsor, can I ship my materials to the hotel ahead of time?
Yes! Please fill out this form ahead of time. Email the form to Michele.Calabrese@unccharlottemarriott.com. Michele is our main contact at the hotel.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
When planning our menus, we aim to have vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options available. Food items will be labeled and event staff will be available if you have any questions.
What meals are included?
We will serve breakfast, lunch, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at the evening networking reception.
